Integrations Overview

Connect publishing destinations and analytics sources so CntX can push approved content and close the editorial learning loop.

Overview

Integrations in CntX fall into two families: publishing and measurement.

Publishing integrations let you send approved content from CntX to an external CMS without leaving the editorial workflow. Today that means WordPress (self-hosted, via Application Password and the REST API) and Webflow (OAuth, CMS collections). Publishing updates CMS status on the content item—it does not automatically change editorial status.

Measurement integrations feed performance and optimization back into planning. Google Search Console (GSC) powers SEO performance on published URLs and the Learning Loop (brief vs. real queries). Google Analytics 4 (GA4) adds behavioral and key-event signals after the click—engagement, CTA coherence, and conversion hints. GSC and GA4 use separate OAuth consents; connecting one does not connect the other.

All integrations are configured per workspace under Settings → Integrations. Map connected accounts to channels and destinations in your content strategy so briefs and publish actions know where content should land.

When to use

Use this overview when you:

  • Are finishing workspace setup and need to know which connectors to enable first.
  • Want to publish from CntX instead of copy-pasting into WordPress or Webflow.
  • Plan to compare briefs against real search and on-site behavior (Learning Loop).
  • Need to troubleshoot why CMS status shows Not connected or performance data is missing.

You can defer integrations until you have at least one approved piece ready to publish or a live URL to measure.

Before you start

  • Admin or editor access to the workspace you are configuring.
  • For WordPress: a site URL, a publisher-capable username, and an Application Password (not your login password).
  • For Webflow: admin access to the target site and a CMS collection for blog or article items.
  • For GSC: verified ownership of the site property that matches your published URLs.
  • For GA4: a GA4 property with page-level data; key events configured if you want conversion signals.
  • Channels and destinations defined in your content strategy so integrations attach to the right editorial surface.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Integrations in the workspace sidebar.
  2. Review the CMS section:

– Connect WordPress with site URL, username, and Application Password; test the connection. – Or connect Webflow via the secure OAuth window, then pick the target CMS collection (and optional category collection or multilanguage settings).

  1. Review the Analytics section:

– Connect Google Search Console, pick the property (domain or URL prefix), and confirm sync. – Connect Google Analytics 4 separately, select the GA4 property, and set the default analysis period (7, 28, or 90 days).

  1. Open Strategy → Distribution and assign each channel’s destinations to the connected WordPress or Webflow account.
  2. Open a content item that is editorially ready, use Publish draft or Publish now to validate the CMS handoff.
  3. After a URL is live and reconciled, open the content item Performance tab to confirm GSC metrics and, if connected, GA4 behavioral signals and Learning Loop suggestions.

Expected result

  • WordPress or Webflow shows Connected with the correct site or collection mapped.
  • GSC and GA4 each show Connected with the expected property; they remain independent credentials.
  • Publishing from a content item updates CMS status (draft, published, failed) while editorial status stays under your team’s control.
  • Published items with reconciled URLs show GSC data on Performance; GA4 enriches the Learning Loop with engagement and key-event hints when volume allows.
  • Briefs inherit destination metadata so production and publish steps target the right account.

Tips

  • Connect one CMS per workspace unless you deliberately use separate workspaces for separate brands or environments.
  • Prefer draft publish first on WordPress or Webflow, then go live after a final CMS review.
  • GSC answers discovery (queries, impressions, CTR); GA4 answers post-click behavior. Use both for a fuller Learning Loop—neither replaces full marketing attribution.
  • If audit findings mention GSC, connect Search Console before the next audit export to unlock richer recommendations.
  • Re-test integrations after credential rotation, site migration, or Webflow collection changes.
  • CMS not connected on a content item usually means no destination mapped or the integration was disconnected—fix in Settings and strategy channels, not in the editor alone.

Next step

Connect your primary CMS (WordPress or Webflow), then connect Google Search Console. Add GA4 when you want behavioral signals on the Performance tab. Publish one approved item as a draft to validate the full handoff before scaling production.
