If a user chooses to connect Google services to CntX, we may access and process Google user data through Google APIs, depending on the permissions granted by the user.

This may include, for example:

  • Google Analytics 4 account, property, report, metric, dimension, event, traffic, page and content performance data
  • Google Search Console site, page, query, click, impression, country, device and average position data
  • Basic account or authorization information necessary to connect and maintain the integration

Google integrations are optional and are activated only when an authorized user explicitly connects a Google account through Google’s OAuth consent flow.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (such as health, religion or political opinions). Users are responsible for ensuring such data is not uploaded or connected to the platform.

3. Purpose of Processing

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the CntX platform
  • To create and manage user accounts and workspaces
  • To personalize onboarding, recommendations and workflows
  • To generate, improve and organize content briefs, editorial calendars, insights and recommendations
  • To connect third-party integrations requested by users
  • To analyze connected performance data, including Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console data where authorized by the user
  • To help users prioritize content opportunities, improve editorial briefs, understand content performance and optimize future content planning
  • To provide customer support
  • To improve product performance and user experience
  • To ensure platform security and prevent misuse
  • To process subscriptions and billing
  • To send important service-related notifications
  • To send marketing communications where permitted

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Processing is based on one or more of the following legal grounds:

  • Contract performance — when processing is necessary to deliver the CntX service
  • Legitimate interest — analytics, product improvement, security, fraud prevention and service reliability
  • Legal obligation — accounting, tax retention and compliance requirements
  • Consent — for marketing communications, cookies where required and optional third-party integrations where applicable

When users connect Google services to CntX, they authorize access through Google’s OAuth consent flow. Users may revoke this access at any time from their Google account settings or from CntX where this feature is available.

5. How We Use Google User Data

CntX uses Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features requested or enabled by the user.

  • Analyze content and website performance
  • Identify pages, queries, topics and channels that may deserve attention
  • Improve editorial briefs and content recommendations
  • Help prioritize content opportunities
  • Generate or improve editorial calendars
  • Provide performance reporting and insights inside the user’s workspace

CntX does not use Google user data for advertising purposes.

CntX does not sell Google user data.

CntX does not use Google user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

CntX does not transfer Google user data to third parties except where strictly necessary to provide, secure or operate the CntX service, or where required by law.

CntX’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Data Sharing & Sub-Processors

We may share personal data with trusted third-party service providers acting as data processors, strictly for operating, securing and improving the service. These may include:

  • Payment and billing providers, such as Stripe
  • Email delivery services
  • Analytics tools
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
  • AI service providers used for content generation, analysis, recommendations and workflow automation
  • CRM and customer communication tools

Some providers may process data outside the European Union. Where applicable, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), adequacy decisions or equivalent safeguards.

We do not sell personal data.

Where Google user data is processed by sub-processors, such processing is limited to what is necessary to provide or improve CntX user-facing features, maintain security, comply with applicable law or operate the service.

7. AI Processing

CntX may use AI service providers to generate or improve content, briefs, recommendations, editorial calendars, insights and related outputs.

Depending on the features used, user-provided business data, content, files, marketing context and connected performance data may be processed by AI providers to deliver the requested functionality.

Where Google user data is used in AI-assisted features, it is used only to provide or improve user-facing features requested by the user, such as content performance analysis, brief improvement, editorial planning and recommendations.

We do not allow AI providers to use Google user data to train their general-purpose models unless this is explicitly permitted by the user and allowed by applicable Google API Services policies.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or to comply with legal obligations.

Data stored in a user workspace may be retained for the duration of the account or workspace lifecycle, unless deleted earlier by the user or upon request.

Google user data imported into CntX is retained only as long as necessary to provide the connected features, maintain the user’s workspace history or comply with applicable legal obligations.

Users may disconnect Google integrations, revoke Google API access, request deletion of imported Google data, or request account and data deletion from within the application where available or by contacting us at:
